Dr. Dmitri Souza is board-certified in pain medicine, anesthesiology, internal medicine and headache medicine. He has authored more than a hundred chapters, articles, clinical guidelines, research presentations and other publications, including two books. He is a Professor of Medicine and Surgery at Northeast Ohio Medical University, serves as a Vice-Chair, Member-at-Large, and a Faculty at the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, as a Faculty and Board Member at the American Interventional Headache Society, and several other national physician associations. He teaches pain medicine at both the national and international physicians' symposia.
His clinical expertise includes, but is not limited to, the advanced management of widespread pain, severe and intractable pain due to injury, chemotherapy and medical conditions, headaches, neck and lower back pain, shoulder, knee and other joint pain, abdominal pain, pelvic pain, cancer pain and persistent pain in older adults.
